For the third year in a row SPOTLAB hosted the largest New Years Eve party in Flagstaff, and this past year was by far the biggest yet. With a massive main stage that was truly one of the biggest productions we've seen at the Orpheum Theater, and an outdoor heated tent hosted by our friends at Dewomp and Sondering called the Resolution Lounge, there was something for everybody.
The main stage consisted of a massive truss structure that filled the entire stage with a video wall, pixel mapped LED tubes driven by Resolume, 2 10W lasers, retro hex totems and hex circle fixtures, and a ground package of Elation FLX. It was an impressive combination that kept evolving through the night.
The evening was headlined by Dunks (The Funk Hunters / Lazy Syrup Orchestra) who brought in the New Year in true fashion. He was joined on the main stage by Deezy LePhunk, CHKLZ, VICEVERSA, and ill.Ego - an amazing variety filled lineup that kept the dance floor moving well past midnight.
The Resolution Lounge had a bumping L-Acoustics PA system courtesy of our pals at Soundmoverz. A stellar lineup of local DJs curated by Dewomp along with hot drinks, soft squishy nooks, and a host of wholesome activities offered a break from the non stop party inside.
Our NYE party has become one of our favorite times of year to show off our new equipment and put our skills to the test, and we can't wait to see what happens next year!
